Hi There!
My name is Vivian, my brand is Puffee, and I’m an illustrator, artist, and designer based in the North East U.S.. Having always had a need to create art, I went to Massachusetts College of Art and Design and have since been working north of Boston, vending in art shows as well as freelancing my talents.
My work carries a variety of themes and topics. I like to take regular subject matter such as fruit or insects and create images/stories that intrigue the viewer with surrealistic and ethereal use of color and space. An environment or a moment the viewer would like to escape into and explore!
I’ve drawn inspiration from many areas, such as eras like the Golden Age of Illustration and retro futurism of the 20th century to medieval Japanese, European, and Islamic illustration and design. The details in early comics or 90s rave posters will catch my eye as easily as a fairytale illustration with a filigree boarder.
Outside of illustration and design, I also have a passion for sculpture, videography, and photography, sometimes combining the different art forms in one piece. Along with illustration, I’ve also had great opportunities working in chair caning, antique furniture refurbishing , embroidery, and wood/metal working. Outside of my career and passion in art, I love to read, play video games, explore and daydream in the outdoors, and plan festivities or events with my loved ones.
